Today marks the 15th anniversary of our wedding day. It's the crystal anniversary, but we both decided that 1) we have enough crystal gifts left from our bridal registry and 2) we don't have any money to get anything else anyway. Sigh.
Actually, we've opted to have steak and baked potatoes at home, and we may head out to meet friends for a drink later this evening. Plenty of celebrating for us old folk.
Fifteen years seem to have flown by, and I do believe it's because we've had kids with us for over twelve of them. I commented the other day that I've never done anything for 15 years except be alive. Hm. However I will say that I'd rather have spent the last 15 with my sweet honey than doing anything else. Amen.
So, after karate (kid thing,) baseball practice (kid thing,) and dinner (family thing,) I suppose an hour or two with adult friends will wrap up this day nicely. And I wouldn't wish it any other way...crystal or not.
