The chaos just keeps on coming.
We finished the main painting this weekend, and all that's left is fourteen miles of trim to paint white. However.
Today, we spent five and a half HOURS emptying out every upstairs closet and moving the contents to various rooms that aren't getting carpet.
My clothes and shoes? In the bathtub. The kids' shoes and toys? In their bathtub. My sweet honey's stuff? Um. I think it's in the bathtub, but it could be in the dining room or even in the garage at this point, but it's certain that it's all still contained SOMEWHERE inside our home.
Sigh.
I know this little renovation will come to an end sometime. I know once the new carpet is in and all the furniture and things are back in their places, we will all look around in amazement at our new upstairs.
I know the pink one will do carwheels in her new big girl room. I know the blue one will revel in his room with the new dark blue paint he requested.
I know all these things. And yet, I know one very important thing.
IF ANYONE STAINS THE NEW CARPET OR RUINS THE NEW PAINT, THEY HAVE TO MOVE OUT IMMEDIATELY.
And that's all I have to say about that.
Now let me go open that brand new can of bright white trim paint and get cozy with the baseboards.
